1. Dehydration

Everybody knows the importance of water consumption in our lives, but also almost everybody fails to really implement it efficiently. Yes, dehydration can be a cause of always feeling cold. Why? Because water is the element which drives the metabolism: helping break down food, and creating energy, and heat. Therefore, the lack of water in your body slows down the metabolism and takes away from the energy that keeps you warm.

2. Poor circulation

We barely think whether we have a good or bad circulation, when this is actually such a big issue related to feeling cold all the time. Not proper blood circulation can be caused by arterial disease, the result being in hard maintaining of the core body temperature. The extremities are the most affected by this.

3. Anemia

Anemia is another cause of feeling cold. But first, what is anemia? Anemia is an illness that consists in not having enough hemoglobines in your blood. Hemoglobin helps carrying oxygen across the body. If hemoglobin is low, then the warmth of the body is affected.

Must know: Smoking also affects temperature regulation and blood circulation, because it’s causing blood vessels to constrict.

4. Diabetes

Diabetes is an illness that causes symptoms such as nerve damage. This condition impairs the body’s temperature regulators. That means a cold feeling all over the body, even if you try to warm it up or not. That’s why it is important to be careful with every feeling we feel in our body.

So, if you ever wondered why you are always feeling cold, now you found out what problems might cause this.
