Dat de Grammy’s de belangrijkste muziekprijzen zijn, hoeven we je waarschijnlijk niet meer te vertellen. Ze worden volgend jaar voor de 62ste keer uitgereikt en nu – een dikke twee maanden voor de ceremonie – is bekendgemaakt wie allemaal genomineerd is. De – in ons landje – belangrijkste? Soulwax! De broers Stephen en David Dewaele zijn genomineerd voor hun remix van Work It!
Namen die we verschillende keren zien passeren? Billie Eilish, Lizzo en – in mindere mate – Ariana Grande en Vampire Weekend. The Lion King heeft met vier nominaties de eerste stappen gezet naar de 34 (!) awards die de originele Disneyfilm won.
De ceremonie vindt plaats op 26 januari volgend jaar. Alicia Keys zal die net zoals dit jaar presenteren. Daardoor wordt de zangeres de derde vrouw ooit én de eerste vrouwelijke artiest ooit die twee keer de awardshow presenteert.
